Many people wonder, will solar energy help global warming?  In short, yes.  There are many factors that are responsible for global warming and many of them are related to the burning of fossil fuels, which is the same fuels burned to make electricity for homes and businesses in most households all around the world.

Think about gas powered cars.  While they are running, they emit a hazardous pollutant called carbon monoxide that has been directly linked to the global warming effect.  If everyone would start driving these solar powered cars, which have no emissions, which would help global warming if nothing else.  There are other aspects, however, that will help with global warming as well such as powering a home with solar energy.  The fossil fuel that is burned in order to power homes through the traditional methods of electricity and power companies emit carbon dioxide, which is also linked to global warming in one way or another so it goes to reason that eliminating these emissions will absolutely help global warming.

Scientists are constantly looking at ways to improve the quality of solar powered energy sources because as of right now, the costs of purchasing these systems is substantial and many feel as if they can’t afford it.  If, at all possible, it would be the very best move in order to help the quality of life for all of the people in the world, to have these solar powered systems installed in their homes and businesses, even if there was traditional power as a backup just in case, anything is better than nothing.  Ultimately, the air that we are all breathing is being contaminated by the burning of these pollutants, therefore, if this is eliminated, the hopes of reversing the effect of global warming is greatly increased and the environment will end up much better off.
